Children's Community Garden

 

This project is a hands-on garden for children.  Master gardeners and parents assist children in planting,  watering, and harvesting a variety of vegetables, flowers, and fruits.  Planting begins in February and regular twice weekly sessions run from mid- March until July.  The children also play games about nutrition and learn about good and bad bugs and worms.  The garden is cheerfully decorated and a fun time is had by all! The Children's Community Garden is located in Bowling Green Park in Denton.
