Plant, Tree and Lawn Consultations

Over the last five years, Master Gardeners have provided free plant, tree and lawn consultations to over five hundred Denton County homeowners.

Consultations are initiated when homeowners call the Denton County Extension Service office requesting information or needing help with their plants, trees, lawn or landscape. 

Speaker's Bureau

The Denton County Cooperative Extension and Master Gardeners Association offer free horticultural programs upon request to clubs, schools and other community groups.  Topics include Xeriscape, herbs, house plants, native plants, roses, good bugs/bad bugs, backyard habitats, birds, and the Master Gardener program.  Additional  topics and programs are always being developed by the speakers.  Click here to see recent subjects and as well as others scheduled in the future.

Each spring an evening Landscaping School is taught by John Cooper, Denton County Extension Horticulturist. The course covers the design, installation and maintenance of home landscapes. Contact the Extension Service office to  find out the date and location of the next Landscaping School or schedule a program for your group.
