Habitat for Humanity

Denton County Master Gardeners work in partnership with the Denton and Lewisville Habitat for Humanity chapters to landscape all new Habitat homes before the home is dedicated and the family moves in. 

A certified Master Gardener consults with the new home owner to design a landscape based on the family's needs and assists with plant selection for the new yard. After the landscape is planted, Master Gardeners instruct the new homeowner on lawn maintenance and plant care.   Master Gardeners have helped landscape 150 Habitat homes in Denton County.
