Earthkind Rose Demonstration - The Denton County Earth Kind Rose Project is dedicated to gathering information for the promotion of Earth Kind Roses in the Denton county area.  It is part of a larger study being conducted all over the United States by the Earth Kind Extension specialists at Texas A&M University.  Twenty nine cultivars have been planted in 4 duplicated blocks on the TWU campus.  The Earthkind Rose Brigade is a group of dedicated amateurs from all over the country who have been enlisted to help with the advanced field testing of experimental rose selections.

Hedrick Elementary Butterfly Garden - Support for after-schoool program called "Learning Beyond the Bell" for approximately 100 students. Project Manager will coordinate with school team to help with landscape design of butterfly garden and select appropriate plants. Team will work with students to install plants.

T.R.E.E. (Teaching and Reaching with Environmental Education)--Coordination of efforts in the use of outdoor learning environments in Denton ISD elementary schools.

Flower Mound Environmental Fair - Master Gardeners have a booth featuring composting and environmentally friendly plants for North Texas, including Earthkind roses and Texas Superstars.

Little Hands on the Farm at the State Fair of Texas

Riding the Rails (May 2007) - Educational event for at-risk elementary students.  Five learning stations for reading, math and science on garden train.  This project was voted Junior Master Gardener County Program of the Year in April 2008, and its project manager, Jenny Estes, was named Marva E. Beck Leader of the Year.

Sanger Science Fair--Master gardeners have a booth for public education as well as a children's project "Plant a Seed."

Oak Grove United Methodist Church - Refurbished or replaced existing gardens with native or adapted plants.  Also created a Bible garden using plants mentioned in the Bible.  Garden is also used by Sunday School teachers.
