Tom Harpool Horticultural Scholarship
The Tom Harpool Horticultural Scholarship was created to
assist and encourage students enrolled in the study of horticulture or other
gardening-related subjects. The $1000 scholarship is awarded annually to
any Denton County resident who is currently enrolled in a horticulture or
related major at any college or university.
Under the direction of the Denton County Master
Gardener Association Scholarship Committee, all applications are reviewed and
the recipient selected. To raise money for the scholarship fund, DCMGA members
open their gardens for public viewing and sell plants from their gardens.
To apply for the scholarship, complete the application and mail with proof of
enrollment and two letters of recommendation to DCMGA Scholarship Committee, c/o
M. Morrow, 306 N. Loop 288, Suite 222, Denton, TX 76209.
