$41,067.91 for the 2005 Conference.
Maurine LeBeau, Parliamentarian, advised the Board that if there
are any questions concerning the budget, they may ask for an audit, but to
remember the treasurer only reports the numbers.
Linda reviewed the 2005 Conference budget and suggested our two tax-free
fundraisers be held during the Conference and that all other fundraisers
during the year include sales tax. Annie Brackin made a motion to
approve, Sandy Hiatte seconded the motion and all present agreed.
Pam McClimon, Newsletter Editor, reviewed guidelines for individual
pictures on the website and proposed a disclaimer be signed. Discussion
followed and it was decided to table this item until more information
could be obtained. It was decided we needed to have a newspaper on site
at the Conference to publicize DCMGA's sponsoring of the event.
Donna Wolfe, Volunteer Coordinator, advised that Susan Dawson will
head up the FM Environmental Fair on April 23. Pam Owens is doing a
poster for the Conference on Old Settlers Elementary School. Docent
training for Argyle Acres has held April 5, and Upper Trinity was hosting

during this event.
Marine LeBeau, Program Coordinator, advised our next General
Meeting was a field trip to Dotty Woodson's orchid greenhouse in Azle.
She asked if the Conference Committee had plans for the May meeting. It
was decided to cancel a General Meeting in May since we will be hosting
the Conference that month.
Sandy Hiatte, First Vice-president, advised TWU had requested we
put the Demonstration Garden on hold. Discussion followed regarding he
selection process for the Garden. It was decided to continue with the
selection, send the remaining honorarium to Texas A&M, and meet with TWU
to determine their future involvement.
John Cooper advised that Bayer Garden Products requested our
assistance at clinics to be held at local Home Depots and Lowes. It was
decided we would not be able to assist.
Mary asked Donna to provide he number of volunteers at the Conference who
were working one day, and the number working two or more days. It has
been decided that the volunteers will receive T-shirts, at no charge, for
the Conference. Meeting was adjourned at 10:40 AM.
