In the fall of 2011, after the record-breaking heat of the summer, Denton County Master Gardeners put together a survey, with the goal of learning from the experience of gardeners across the area. We asked what plants performed well through the heat, which ones were stressed and which ones didn’t make it. Were there any surprises? And were there any special techniques that gardeners felt helped their plants through the brutal summer? We hoped to gather information to help all of us make more informed plant-buying decisions in the future.
We had 129 people respond to the survey, and here are the results. Thanks to all who took the time to give us their thoughts.
