Design Your Yard with Earth-Kind® Landscaping class

Join the Denton County Master Gardeners Friday, January 25, 6:30 – 8:30 P.M. and Saturday, January 26, 9:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. for the Design Your Yard with Earth-Kind® Landscaping class. This course concentrates on creating beautiful, productive yards and gardens using Earth-Kind practices that conserve time, energy, and natural resources.

Greater Gardening: 2019 Greater Aubrey Area Gardening Series

DCMGA presents the 2019 Greater Aubrey Area Gardening Series, three evenings at 6 P.M. starting in January 2019, at the Aubrey Area Library, 226 Countryside Dr., Aubrey, TX 76227.   Topics include:

  • January 17: “Butterfly Gardens” by Master Gardeners Carol Rowley and Mary Branstetter
  • February 21: “Plant Propagation” by Master Gardener Suzie Cook
  • March 21: “Basic Landscaping Design Principles” by Master Gardeners Shirlee and Claud Singer

2019 Flower Mound Library Spring Gardening Series

The Denton County Master Gardener Association, in partnership with the Flower Mound Public Library, will present the 10th Annual Spring Gardening lecture series, Monday evenings in February at 7 P.M. at the Flower Mound Public Library, 3030 Broadmoor Lane Flower Mound, TX 75022. Topics include:

  • February 4: “Companion Planting” by Lynda Harvey, Denton County Master Gardener, Certified in Native Landscape Maintenance by The Native Plant Society of Texas
  • February 11: “Yard Art Smarts” by Tammie Gurley, Denton County Master Gardener
  • February 18: “Landscape Design for Success” by Carol Arment, Denton County Master Gardener, Certified in Texas Native Plants by The Native Plant Society of Texas
  • February 25: “SUCCess with SUCCULENTS” by Gay Campbell, Denton County Master Gardener and Master Naturalist

DCMGA “Herbal Branch” Special Interest Meetings

Join the Master Gardeners one Monday each month, 10:00 – 11:00 A.M., at meetings of the Herbal Branch Special Interest Group.  Everyone is welcome and admission is free.   Each meeting will feature a presentation related to herbs.

The meetings are held at the Denton County offices of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension at 401 W. Hickory Street, Suite 115, Denton TX 76201-9026, unless otherwise specified.

DCMGA General Membership Meetings

Everyone is invited to join the Master Gardeners, the second Wednesday of the month (except January, February, April, June, and December), 9:30 – 11:00 A.M. (unless otherwise noted), at their general membership meetings.

Meetings feature speakers on a variety of topics.  The meetings are held at the Denton County offices of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension at 401 W. Hickory Street, Suite 112, Denton TX 76201-9026, unless otherwise noted.
